A 64 mile circular route set amongst the less familiar northern fells of the wonderful Lake District.

The route was designed to encourage the use of traditional youth hostels, some of which are now sadly closed.

Starting south of Keswick the route travels up St. John’s in the Vale to Threlkeld, Mungrisedale, Carrock Fell, Skiddaw House, Cockermouth, over the northern fells to Mosedale, Ennerdale, then past Black Sale and Honister Hostels on to Borrowdale then Thirlmere.

You will be staying at Keswick Youth Hostel.

If packed lunches are required they can be purchased at the hostels.
